Your Steps To Recovery

Lot Evaluation

Every property is unique, so the first step is determining the best timeline and approach for preparing your lot. Our team will perform an in-person, on-site evaluation to assess your property’s specific needs.

House Plan Selection

We’ll help you explore our collection of ready-to-build home plans to find the right fit for your lot and personal preferences.

Letter of Intent

This pre-construction agreement includes a deposit and allows us to begin essential work such as civil engineering, architectural design, and permitting.

Pre-Construction Phase

We’ll coordinate and contract all necessary consultants for permit submission. This may include architects, geotechnical and structural engineers, Title 24 and Cal Green consultants, and more.

Insurance Coordination

After signing the Letter of Intent, we can assist by providing a detailed, line-item budget to share with your insurance adjuster as part of your claim process.

Construction Agreement

This step finalizes your selection of All County Environmental & Restoration as your contractor, with a formal agreement and total contract price. If you require a construction loan, we can connect you with trusted lenders and help compile required documentation.

Interior Design

Customize your new home with a wide range of interior design packages and upgrade options tailored to your taste and lifestyle.

Construction Kickoff

Once your plan is chosen, the contract is signed, selections are made, and permits are secured, we’ll hold a kickoff meeting to officially begin construction.

Throughout the Rebuild

We’ll collaborate with your insurance adjuster and/or mortgage company to manage payments throughout the building process. You’ll also receive weekly progress updates.

Welcome Home

Before move-in, we’ll walk you through your new home, introducing you to all its features, systems, and finishes.

Ongoing Support

Our relationship doesn’t end at move-in. All County Environmental & Restoration provides a 1-3 year Home Buyers Warranty, covering workmanship, systems, and structural components—so you can settle in with peace of mind.

Estimating For Insurance Rebuilding

When facing rebuilding, filing an insurance claim is one of the first steps that is needed.

An accurate rebuild estimate is likely required by the carrier and it is vital to conduct a comprehensive replacement cost evaluation.  A rebuild estimate should take into account the cost of building code upgrades, actual current cost to rebuild the home and additional fees for associated soft costs of rebuilding.

Rebuild cost estimates for insurance purposes are available through All County Environmental & Restoration.  Please contact us for more information on this service.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We've got A's for your Q's

 1. How long will it take to rebuild my home?

The full rebuild timeline typically ranges from 7 months to 1 year, depending on project complexity, design decisions, permitting, and material availability.

2. Can you work with my insurance company?

Yes. We work with all insurance carriers and handle direct communication, negotiation, and documentation with your adjuster to help ensure you receive the maximum coverage available under your policy.

 3. Will my home be rebuilt to the same size and design as before?

Absolutely. We can reconstruct your home exactly as it was. However, we also offer access to top-tier local architects and engineers if you’re interested in updating your home or creating something entirely new. The City of Altadena currently allows up to a 10% square footage increase without requiring additional plan checks or permit reviews.

 4. When can you start?

From our initial meeting to construction start, timelines typically range from 2 weeks to 2 months, depending on the design and permitting process. We aim to move quickly while ensuring quality and compliance every step of the way.

 5. What kind of materials and methods will you use — are they fire-resistant?

Material selection is ultimately up to the homeowner, but we highly encourage and offer fire-resistant building options. Please note: Altadena requires fire sprinklers and solar panels in all new home construction per current building codes.

6. If I have a small ADU or detached garage, can we start with that first so I can live on the property while the main structure is rebuilt?

Yes — that’s a great strategy. If the structures are detached, we can pull separate permits to begin work on an ADU, garage, or secondary structure independently from the main home. This allows you to remain on-site during the rebuild.

 7. Can you help me understand my insurance scope or supplement it?

Absolutely. We specialize in reviewing insurance scopes, identifying missing items or underpaid areas, and preparing supplements to ensure your rebuild is properly funded. Our team has extensive experience working directly with adjusters and claims departments.

 8. Do you work with local architects or engineers who know the Altadena code and topography?

Yes. Our entire design team is Los Angeles-based and well-versed in Altadena-specific building codeshillside construction requirements, and fire zone compliance.

 9. How can I verify you’re licensed and properly insured for fire rebuild work?

We are a fully licensed and insured general contractor in the state of California. You can verify our credentials anytime via the California State License Board (CSLB) at www.cslb.ca.gov. We’re happy to provide our license number and insurance documentation upon request.

 10. Is it possible to rebuild using more fire-resistant materials — and will insurance cover it?

Yes, we can absolutely rebuild using enhanced fire-resistant materials such as Class A roofing, fire-rated doors, and exterior fire barriers. Whether insurance will cover the upgrades depends on your policy — but we will help you review your coverage and pursue supplemental funding if needed.
